Musician Todd Shea is part musician, part comedian, part social worker and part humanitarian. Much of the year you'll find him in the most remote regions of Pakistan, helping re-establish healthcare for victims of the 2005 earthquake.

He's an unlikely candidate for a hero: when asked what qualifies him, with little education and no formal training, to do disaster relief, he says perhaps it’s because his own life was once a disaster. He talks with Peggy Wehmeyer.
